In the last piece of our Meet Our Board Blog Series, we want to introduce our amazing board members  Rafael Vargas, Kate Mulligan and Rabia Abrar.

We are excited to have their expertise, values, and drive to push forward the mission of 8 80 Cities.

Rafael Vargas
Rafael is a Senior Export Advisor at the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. As a senior sales, business development and trade executive he has an exemplary record of accomplishing revenues and sourcing new opportunities. Energetic, resourceful and creative, he devises and implements value add and strategic business initiatives, delivering growth and enhancing brand recognition.

Kate Mulligan
Kate is the Director of Policy and Communications at the Alliance for Healthier Communities and an Assistant Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. She sits on the Toronto Board of Health and directs Canada’s first social prescribing project.

Rabia Abrar
Rabia is the Communications Lead at the Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEAll). Rabia’s experience spans various sectors, including telecommunications and social enterprise, with a focus on communications campaigns to influence sustainable business, policy & behaviour change. She has a BBA and a Master of Sustainable Urban Management.
